Mama,

So.. So.. Sad! that you left us so soon, but we know you're resting in d bossom of our Lord.

Mama was my mums college mate in d 60/70s, i got to meet Mama when my dad was transferred to Lagos and was given an accommodation at Bodija. Arigidi st. to be precise.

Myself and my younger sister was enrolled at Methodist and mama facilitated our admission. we go in her car in d morning and back with her in the afternoon after school. Everyone thought she was our mum just because she was always there for us. Caring and looking after us like our biological parents.

Mama was a nice woman to a fault, I remember then, when for some reason we were unable to get our lunch from d food vendors. She will give us her own food, just to ensure that we're fine.

Mama, we thank you for the show of love and care in our younger days. We're sure that you're resting in d bossom of our lord.
